Leon Hart's writing something new, and it's not a new kind of gay romance novel. When he has a bad dream and begins to write it down, something happens. After he moves into an apartment with his long-time boyfriend Domino, Leon starts to see something. It's in the mirror, it's in the water ... it's even in the doorway on some nights. After Leon is nearly killed by the creature, Domino believes that Leon has a mental disorder, since Domino saved Leon from a fall that surely would have killed him. And after Leon goes to the doctor and is diagnosed with schizophrenia, he tries to fight back. The creature warns that if Leon does not tell its story, it will kill both him and Domino. Leon is then sent on a journey that defies reason, explanation, and even time itself.
