Anthony was by all accounts a hermit. He leaved in the nearby woods of Boston alone, outcasted for his disbelief in god. Turning to raising herbs and other medical plants, the towns people used him and shunned him at the same time. He had befriended a city guard, who would often bring him supplies from town. It saved him the humilation of having to enter the town himself.

His heart was cold, and Samuel was the only person that he could tolerate. Until Samuel brought a sickly Leila to him one night. He had found her on the street covered in blood, but she had no wounds. Upon closer inspecion, she had no heart beat, and he was certian that she had died. He told Samuel to get her sister, so that she could do with the body what she willed.

Kailin arrived at his log cabin only to find that Leila had awoken, and Anthony was terrified. The truth had to be explained, and so Samuel and Anthony listened to their tale.

Anthony was intriqued by the idea of becoming a vampire, and continued to speak with Leila about it. He had attempted to convince Kailin, but she had turned him away. In time, he fell in love with Leila, and begged her to allow him an eternal life with her. Scared of being alone, and confused by her love, Leila did what Kailin had strictly asked her not to do. She turned her lover into one of the undead. It was later learned that only Leila possessed the ability to turn a vampire without the help of a Hallowed.

Anthony wanted those that had outcasted him to suffer, and behind Leila's back began an army of his own. After a battle that spanded over a couple of years, Anthony was thought to of been killed by Kailin's hand. yet, he had survived the encounter, his body still repairing itself from the flames.

He had bared witness to Leila's death, but had been to weak to intervene. Anger raged in his heart against both his creator and his master. Leila had allowed her death, but Kailin had been the one to take it from her.
