Kristian came of age as a human around the time movies became popular. He purposely dresses like a movie star because he is still obsessed with them as he was when he was a human. He lost all four of his older brothers to World War Two, and therefore also has a deep interest in history of the world. Kristian was eleven when the war ended in 1945, and his family took a great loss to the battles. Out of a family of seventeen boys, he had been the youngest and became the only one left.

Kristian, orginally born Christopher Hansworth, had been a late preganancy in his mother's life. She had already given birth to four sons and three daughters, and had thought her child bearing days were over. But Christopher made a fashionably late entrance showing his outlook on life from the start. His father past away shortly after word that his second brother had been killed in combat. While she tried, his mother couldn't live on her own and they soon moved into his eldest sister's home with her wife and family. The other two letters of his brothers' deaths were received there.

They had gotten word of his last brother after the war had ended and found he had died only four days before it was over. Kristian's mother blamed herself for giving birth to sons, and after sixteen funerals, there was a seventh. Kristian buried his mother at age twelve, she had killed herself. He was left the live with his eldest sister, her husband dispise him and when he was sixteen, he was forced to start working at a saw mill, cleaning up the floors.

It was an under the table job, but he worked sixteen or more hours a day. His brother-in-law had lied and said he was eighteen. He left after no more then a year, running away from the state of Indiana.

He wandered around for the next few years getting odd jobs where ever he could find to feed himself. When he couldn't find a job, he would steal his food or items he could sell. This bad habit was how he came to meet Tzion. He bumped into the man on a corner in Houston and took a money clip he had seen him put away. The man was no fool and followed Kristian to his abandon house.

Instead of threatening his life or to tell the police, Tzion was impressed and offered him a job to work at his estate. He soon gained Tzion's favor, and discussed the truth about his master. Kristian was not afraid, after so long of witnessing death, he was a afraid to die himself. He asked to be turned, and Tzion made him earn it with various jobs. He became his peon within a fortnight.
